Big Brother: C4 vs. The Law

Interesting stuff in Dizzy’s Comments. Theo spark and Croydonian have pointed out that Channel 4 is actually a public body.

If this is the case then under the Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000 they are a ‘public authority’ and are obliged by law to actively 'promote good race relations'.

Their passive response so far to the alleged Big Brother racism probably won’t be enough to meet that obligation.

I’ve e-mailed the Commission for Racial Equality for advice, and will post any response I get.
